He was predeceased by: his parents, Arch Riddick McMullan and Laura Freeland McMullan; and his sister Mary McCluskey. He is survived by: his wife Janice McMullan; and his children, Arch McMullan III, Bill Kiger (Tina), Susan Pickard (Scott), Laura Johnson (Keith) and Elizabeth "Abby" McMullan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont or to Guilford County Animal Services.
