It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann McSwain (High Point, North Carolina), who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Hamlin and Axie Adams Andrews; her daughter Karen McSwain Kane; and her sisters, Loise Talton and Mary Thorpe.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara McSwain Nordon (Andrew) of Danville and Deborah Ann McSwain of Mt. Airy; her son-in-law Dr. Jeffrey Kane of Vista, CA; her grandchildren, Heather Rhodarmer (Calvin), Jeremiah Clark Nordon (Amy), Holly McSwain Fuqua (Marvin) and Marshall Van-Allen McSwain; her great grandchild Destiny Faith Rhodarmer; her half-siblings, Claudia Thomas of Wilmington and Charles Hamlin of High Point; and her sister-in-law Carolyn McSwain Carle.
