She was predeceased by: her parents, Margie Hall Saunders and Herman Thomas Saunders; her husband Perry Austin May; her son Scott Kevin May; and her siblings, Elna Hall Hester, Margaret Saunders Myrick, Darrell Saunders, Edward "Eddie" Saunders and Samuel "Sammy" Saunders.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki May Mitchell of Oxford, NC, Sherrie May Reece (Brad) of Thomasville, Beverly May Robbins (Larry) of Fayetteville, GA and Thomas Perry May (Joanne) of Harriman, TN; her sister Jean Saunders Crump of High Point; and her close friend Lenora Powell of High Point. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
