He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hutchens and Myrtle Hutchens; and his brother James Hutchens. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Ring; and his children, Steven Hutchens (Mary), Charles Hutchens (Susan), Gary Hutchens (Connie), Karen Abee (Skip), Jeanie Shelton (Rick), Joanie Jones (Harold) and Billy Hutchens (Dawn). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
