He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Ray and Louise Napier Ritchie. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Williams Ritchie; his children, Bobby Wayne Ritchie (Janet) and Sherry Lynn Ritchie; his grandchildren, Zach Ritchie (Ashley), Mary Katherine Huggins (Britt), Joshua Lay (Kayla), Andrea Lay and Jessica Lay; and his great grandchildren, Hayes Ritchie, Hudson Ritchie, Palmer Huggins, Parker Huggins, Taelyn Andrada, Carsen Oneal, Khaviah Xanavongxay, Lynleigh Lay, Sawyer Lay, Benson Lay and Kashton Lay (Carolyn Deer).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Westchester Baptist Church (135 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
