She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Heilig and Sarah Mae Foust Heilig; and her siblings, Tom Heilig, W. D. Heilig, Becky Kidd, Jean Hicks and Martha Stout.
She is survived by: her husband David Wayne Smith; her sons, Jeffrey David Smith (Kristina), Darren Wayne Smith (Melinda) and Christopher Brian Smith; her grandchildren, Claire, Ragen, William, Lucas and Joshua; and her siblings, Bob Heilig, Bill Heilig and Betty Jo Frazier.
