He was predeceased by: his mother Ida Sparks Boyd; his wife Beulah Boyd; his son John Fredrick Boyd; his brothers, J. W. Boyd and James Boyd; and his nieces, Vicky Lee and Vicki Graham.
He is survived by: his sons, Robin (Karen Boyd) and Ricky (Marcia Boyd); his grandchildren, Sheri and Evan Boyd of Portland Oregon; and his stepgrandchildren, Jesse, Candace Stone of Portland, Dustin McKenzie of Boston, MA and Crystal McKenzie of Naples, Florida..
