He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Stewart, Jr. and Dora Marguerite Stewart-Taylor (Gilbert); his son Gilbert Alexander Stewart-Barber (Jesse Barber); and his siblings, Elsie Josephine Ennis, Doris Regina Gilbert, Helen Rebecca Brown, John Gilbert Stewart, Rita Yvonne Stewart, William "Bill" Edwin Stewart, Ronald "Bobby" Albert Stewart, Donald "Donnie" Lee Stewart, Maurice Anthony Stewart and Francine Elaine Stewart.
He is survived by: his siblings, Butch and LaVerne Franklin (Stewart) of Crofton; his godson Henry "Calvert" Trent; his stepson Marcus; and his close friend Edward Wallace. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to Butch's favorite cause/organization that was near and dear to him "The October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality, Repression, and the Criminalization of a Generation". Memorial donations may be made to "The October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality".
