It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Caroline Steed (High Point, North Carolina), born in Union, South Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, James Rahn Boyer and Patty Swann Boyer of Wilmington; her husband Roy Mark Steed of High Point; and her father-in-law Roy Glenn Steed of High Point.

As an organ transplant recipient, Caroline was also a passionate supporter of the National Kidney Foundation.

“So many memories of the angelic soprano voice in the quartet at Guilford College UMC where I came to know and love Caroline. After rehearsal runs to the Shoneys where we dined on hot fudge cakes and laughed so hard we would nearly get kicked out. Caroline's love of life, and the joy of the Lord was so contagious. I looked forward to a meal every June at Annual Conference with Mark and Caroline, where we caught up on life, family, and church. Thank you Caroline.”
