She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Arthur and Audrey Ellen Phipps; her husband Dennis Welborn Jr.; and her daughter Deborah Greer. She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Cockerham (Julian) of Wilmington, Angela High (Rick) of Asheville and Emily Lipe (Kevin) of Lexington; her son-in-law Ed Greer of Independence, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Morgan Greer (Christine), Tyler Rutherford (Jason), Logan High (Dess), Spencer High (Erica), Austen High (Daniel), Julian Cockerham, Caroline Cockerham (Sonny), Alexander Lipe (Maddie) and Audrianna Lipe; and her pet Beau. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Life Center of Davidson County or to Hospice of Davidson County.
