He was predeceased by: his parents, Rayford Cardwell and Rachel Brown Cardwell; and his brothers, RJ Cardwell and Gary Cardwell. He is survived by: his children, Charles Cardwell (Nadine), Jacob Cardwell and Christy Cardwell; his grandson Jesse Cardwell; and his sisters, Mary Lou Stephens, Linda Robertson (Lynn) and Loretta Joyce (Jimmy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
