With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Connie LaVern Steele (High Point, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 2, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Connie LaVern shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Connie LaVern farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her father Johnny Ray France; her stepfather Bobby Mitchell of Hyattsville, MD; and her sisters, Donna Faye McCombs and Stella Reynold. She is survived by: her children, Rena Steele of Thomasville, NC, Aaron Steele (Debra) of Abilene, TX and Jonathan Lewis of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Jazmyn McInnis and Azmari Steele; and her sister Mary Wharton.
