He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hill Smith and Virginia Elizabeth Seward Smith; and his wife Glenda Whichard Smith. He is survived by: his children, Andrew Smith of Lexington and Erin Smith of Seneca, SC; his brother Bert Smith (Wanda) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Walker Lathrop, Ava-Grace Lathrop, Emma Smith and Leah Smith; his brother Jim; and his sister-in-law Debbie Carmichael of High Point.
