He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Richardson (Anthony) of Texas and Danielle Best (Darrius) of Statesville; his stepson Derrell Simpson; his grandchildren, Delathian "Deuce" Zimmerman, II, Xya'riah Best, Jaikoda Harrington, Darrius Best, II, Alaura Best and Legend Best; his brothers, Melvin "Ham" Oldham and Jeffrey Davis; and also Gail Simpson.
