He is survived by: his wife Sue Brumback Wesney; his son Dennis Wesney, Jr. (Kelly) of High Point; his brothers, Joe Wesney (Barbara) of Columbus, Ohio and Lindsey Wesney (Judy) of Columbus, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Evie Wesney of High Point and Will Wesney of High Point. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green Street Baptist Church or Hospice of the Piedmont.

“In loving memory of Dennis Wesney Sr., Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Dennis was an active member of our Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group. I met him at Cone Health Pulmonary Rehabilitation a few years ago as he was fighting the same disease as I have. I spoke to him when he is in home hospice care and we talked about our fight with pulmonary fibrosis and our faith in Jesus. May he rest in in our Lord, Jesus Christ. See you on the other side Dennis!”
