He was predeceased by: his parents, Irish Mulligan (Anthony) and Anna Mulligan (Sullivan); and his spouse Terry Mulligan. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Mulligan of Greensboro, Mary Ellen Liebal (Mike) of Greensboro, Donal Mulligan (Diane) of Minneapolis, MN and Neil Mulligan (Linda) of Hillsborough, NC; and his grandchildren, Kevin, Megan, Colleen, Erin, Katherine, Caroline, Daniel and Caitlin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to IHM church in High Point or to the Pennybyrn at Maryfield Employee Fund.
