She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe Mew and Eppidell Blanton Mew; her sons, Bobby and Byron Tompkins; her granddaughter Misti Tompkins; her great grandchild Austin Tompkins; and her siblings, Eula Britt, Jonny, Liston, Dana and Jimmy Mew.
She is survived by: her husband Bernard Elwood Tompkins; her children, Cindi Teal, Sammy Tompkins (Sabrina) and James Tompkins (Tammy); and her siblings, Shirley Mew and Billy Mew. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
