She was predeceased by: her husband Rayford Hayes; her parents, Sarah Annie Barnette and Lonzo Barnette; and her siblings, Ocie Mae Hayes, Lois Poole, Hugh and Cecil Barnette.

She is survived by: her children, Janis Williams (Mike), Alvin Hayes (Sherry), Judy Varner (late Donnie), Marcia Varner (Wayne) and Tim Hayes (Missy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren along with a great great grandchild.
