With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Lee Simmons (High Point, North Carolina), who passed away on January 10, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Randall Lamb and Annie Tyler Powers; and her siblings, R. M. Lamb, Jr., Richard Lamb, Hollis Lamb, Horace Lamb, Betty Isom, Ernestine Green, Rachel Brisson, Ruby Davis, Carole Spencer, Martha Singleton and Vivian Greenwood.

She is survived by: her husband James Oliver Simmons; her daughters, Rhonda Simmons Grimsley (Kenny Grimsley) and Rita Simmons (Jason Utt); her grandsons, Jackson Grimsley (Allison Helms) and Carson Grimsley; and her sister Edna Benton. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cancer GPS, High Point.
