He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar W. Swaim and Flossie Hemrick Swaim; his brothers, James Welborn Swaim and Thomas Gray Swaim (Joan); his brother-in-law William Mason Roberson (Nancy); and his friends, Joseph and Margaret Savoie.
He is survived by: his wife Gwyn R. Swaim; his daughter Tamara S. Wilson (Dwan Richardson); his grandson Frederick "Rede" Eugene Wilson, IV; and his brothers, Donnie Lee Swaim (Bernice) and Oscar Wilburn Swaim, Jr. (Faye).
