He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Frederick Stanley and Minnie Ann Stanley-Langley; his wife Phylis Smith-Stanley; his siblings, Frederick Stanley Jr., Bobby Dean Stanley, Magdalene Fowler and Shirley Hamilton; and his son Buddy Dale Stanley.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Shirley Stanley), William Jr. (Loretta Stanley), Freddy Stanley (Debi Pate), Johnathan E. Stanley of High Point, NC, Bobby Lamb (Chuck Stanley) of Troy, NC, Lisa (Steve Smith), Claudia Lea Stanley of Trinity, NC, Melanie (Tim Jacobs), Sherrie Frits of Asheboro, NC and Wilma Ruth Stanley (Penny Davis) of Trinity, NC; and his brothers, Arvil Stanley of Mt. Airy, NC, Johnny Stanley of Mt. Airy, NC and Jackie Stanley of Mt. Airy, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of Randolph County.
