He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bennett and Addie Smith Bennett; and his sisters, Clara Ingram, Lillie B. Rorie, Neomi Cole, Hannah Hough, Elizabeth Ingram and Della Waddell.

He is survived by: his brother Robert Bennett, Sr. (Margaret) of High Point, NC; his daughter Angela Wilson; his grandchildren, Helena Wilson and Nakia "Nick" Wilson, II; and his nephews, Robert Bennett, Jr. and Lester Rorie, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
