It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Townsend (High Point, North Carolina), who passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ford and Albertine Ford; and her siblings, Gwendolyn Arnette, James Jr. Ford, Tecumseh Ford, Amanda Johnson, Rosa Lee Thompson, Hazel Strickland, Dorothy Page, Cassie Ford and Albert Ford.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Taylor (Terence) of Fayetteville, GA and Patricia Townsend of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Jonell Taylor, Spencer Taylor and Kelsy Grisson; her sisters, Mary Ellen Locke (Adrienne) of Detroit, MI, Betty Jean Graham of Fair Bluff, N. C. and Ernestine Brown of Lakeview, S. C.; her friend Cathy Mitchell (Ron) of Greensboro, NC; Mamie Shaw of High Point, NC..
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Temple Memorial Baptist Church (1458 Cedrow Dr, High Point, NC 27260). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
