She was predeceased by: her parents, Lenora Blanche Jones and Darius Ernest Meredith; and her siblings, Rosene Trexler, Mary Mitchell, Darrell Meredith, Rob Meredith, Barkley Meredith, D. C. Meredith and James Hoke Meredith.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Newton (Fred), H. Leigh Davis and H. Sidney Davis; her grandchildren, Philip Newton (Kimmie), Laura Newton (Rick), Blake Davis and Bryce Davis (Abby); her great grandchildren, Ryker Newton and Michael Davis; and her sister-in-law Bea Meredith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The lying in state was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home. Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wesley Memorial Methodist Church (1225 Chestnut Dr, High Point, NC 27262). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM at the Pleasant Grove Mc & Kennedy Christian Life Center (1393 Hasty School Rd, Thomasville, NC 27360).
