He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Royal and Hattie Royal; his stepmother Clara Royal; his wife Helen Royal; his siblings, Winnie Marshall, Aggie Diggs, Cassie Johnson, Lee Bert Gatewood, Hattie Canady, James Royal of Lonnie, Royal and Albert Royal; his granddaughter Contessa Royal; and his great grandchild Na'Tory Royal.
He is survived by: his children, Franklin "Doug" Royal (Vanessa), Larry Royal (Paula), Brenda Little (Darris) of High Point, NC and Teresa Wright (Jeffrey) of High Point, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
