It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geralene Olvey of High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Geralene departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Geralene may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Geralene leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Aikens and Bernice McMahan Aikens; and her husband James Leonard Olvey. She is survived by: her children, Randy Olvey of Greensboro, James Olvey, Jr. of High Point, Sammy Olvey of Thomasville and Joyce Langdon (John) of Archdale; and her sisters, Vickie Hinkle of Thomasville and Gwen Maher of Idaho. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
