It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriette Virginia Starnes Staley (High Point, North Carolina), who passed away on June 13, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Joseph Starnes and Nezzie Rae Taylor Starnes; her husband Oscar James Staley; and her siblings, Wade Starnes and Linda Honeycutt.

She is survived by: her children, Nora Lynn Vestal (Randy) of Archdale and James William Staley (Tina) of Thomasville; her siblings, William Harold Starnes (Connie) and Willie Lynn Mitchell (Joel) of Trinity; her grandchildren, Mathieu Vestal (Meagan), April Staton (Chris), Hannah Staley O'Malley (John), Caleb Staley (Kaitlyn) and Molly Staley Rogers (Christian); and her great grandchildren, Salem Staley, Mason Vestal, Maelie Vestal, Joshua Staton and Ryan Staton.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

What a testimony she had and one thing I remember was she always wrote how glad she was saved and she always told me to "Keep on keepin' on" for Jesus!
