She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Ervin and Beulah Yow Holbrook; her husband James Melvin Wood, Sr.; and her siblings, Dorothy Robertson, Barbara Whedbee, Lorene Hurt and John Delmar Holbrook.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Bundy (Jeff) of Stanley, Susan Blanchard of Thomasville and James Melvin Wood, Jr. of High Point; her grandchildren, James Nicholas Hutchins (Christy) of Thomasville, Christy Renee Knight of High Point and Dustin Todd Stradley (Maddie) of Orlando, Florida; her sister Frances Cheyne of Auburndale, Florida; and her sister-in-law Janice Wood of North Wilkesboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
