Brown (High Point, North Carolina), born in Iva, South Carolina, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Brown, Sr. and Sally Ophelia Patterson Brown; and his former spouse Richard Mattox. He is survived by: his children, Patti Ruth Brown Irving (Joseph Scott Irving, III) and Kenneth Hedgecock Brown (Jamie Brown); his granddaughter Katherine Brown (Katie); his wife Betsy Brown; and his siblings, Lydia Lowie (Moody), Mildred McIlvain, Mary Brown, William F. Brown, Jr. (Nita), George E. Brown (Jean), Robert M. Brown (Lou) and Pat. He is also survived by five nephews and nine nieces.
