She was predeceased by: her parents, Bledsoe Surgeon, Sr. and Nora Yancey Surgeon; her spouse Willie David Shirley; and her siblings, Callie Bell Surgeon, Ethel Martin, Jacob Surgeon, Esau Surgeon, Everett Evince Sergeon and Bledsoe "Bill" Sergeon, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Sonja Shirley-Burden and Deborah S. Williamson (Kent) of Reidsville, NC; and her grandchildren, Khantrell Burden of High Point, NC and Kameron Burden of High Point, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home (707 Wilson St, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home (707 Wilson St, Danville, VA 24541).
