He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Hensley and Dorothy Elizabeth Massey Hensley; and his great grandchild Grayson Hensley. He is survived by: his wife Carol Hensley; his sons, Howard Hensley, Jr. (Tonya) of Winston-Salem and Tim Hensley (Shannon) of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Kasey Hensley, Lauren Herndon (Edward), Colt Hensley (Ashley), Nalon Hensley, LCpl Robert Hensley, LCpl Carter Hensley, Mackenzie Lynch and Joshua Hensley; and his great grandchildren, Leland Hensley, Isiah Lynch and Landon Hensley.
