She was predeceased by: her parents, Bishop Blair and Effie Patterson Byrum; her husband Jerome Willard Hutchins, Sr.; and her siblings, Agnes Cranford and Henry Byrum.
She is survived by: her children, Jerome W. "Jerry" Hutchins, Jr. (Vickie) of High Point and Iris Jane Olson (Scott) of Loveland, Colorado; and her grandchildren, Emily Arduino (Jeff), Rachel Wheatly, Addison Hutchins and Joshua Hutchins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
