He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hanon and Lula Adeline Burton Dobbins; his wife Peggy Brower Dobbins; his son Michael David Dobbins; and his siblings, Vernon, Henry, Buddy, Curt, Ed, Jim Dobbins, Lucy Ingram, Margaret Calos and Helen Younts.
He is survived by: his caregivers, Kelly, Karyn, Debra, Christina, Janna, Saira and Tammy; his daughters, Pamela Dobbins of South Carolina and Anne Compton (Johnny) of Thomasville; his grandson Howell Dobbins (Katie) of Raleigh; and his great grandchildren, Kenzie and Hailey.
