It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Melvin Daly Jr. of High Point, North Carolina, born in Portland, Maine, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Melvin Daly and Bridget Griffin Daly. He is survived by: his wife Jane Meares Daly of Atlanta; his sons, Sean Christopher Daly (Melissa) of High Point and Scott Alan Daly (Michelle) of Brown Summit; his grandchildren, Aidan, Liam Daly of High Point and Fiona Daly of Brown Summit; and his siblings, Patricia Daly of Higgins Beach, Maine, Dennis Daly (Nancy) of Emmaus and Brian Daly (Laurel) of Portland, Maine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405; or to Triad Honor Flight for Veterans, 8098 Paso Fino Trail, Summerfield, NC 27358.
