She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar White and Lucille Payne White; her husband Duane Smith; her children, Craig Smith, Ronnie Smith, Wayne Smith and Carol Smith Ussery; her grandson Tyler Smith; and her great grandchild P. J. Smith.

She is survived by: her daughter Dawn Smith (Jerry Odell) of High Point; her daughters-in-law, Lori Smith of Kernersville and Char-Lee Smith of Jamestown; her brothers, Ed White (Joan) of High Point and Larry White (Suzi) of Raleigh; her brother-in-law Irvin Avant of Trinity; her grandchildren, Michele Smith, Ryan Smith, Jamie Asbill (David), Andy Smith and Austin Smith; and her great grandchildren, Aiden Smith, Keegan Smith, Cooper Asbill and Jerzie Asbill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
