Jayne Rhyne Chavis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jayne Rhyne Chavis of High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Spencer and Mamie Marsh Spencer; her husbands, Jim Rhyne and Charles Chavis; and her sisters, Norma Grubb and Emma Durham.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Jean Gardner-Warren of Grass Valley and Timothy Rhyne (Cindy) of Catawba; her nephew Donald "Donnie" Blackwell (Cathy) of High Point; her niece Amy Grubb (Tony) of Hudson, Florida.; and her friends, Deloris Coker, Helen Lyles and Manul Musa.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Emerywood Baptist Church (1300 Country Club Dr, High Point, NC 27262). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Jayne requested that memorials be made to any charity of choice.
