It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jayne Rhyne Chavis of High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Spencer and Mamie Marsh Spencer; her husbands, Jim Rhyne and Charles Chavis; and her sisters, Norma Grubb and Emma Durham.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Jean Gardner-Warren of Grass Valley and Timothy Rhyne (Cindy) of Catawba; her sibling's children, Donald "Donnie" Blackwell (Cathy) of High Point and Amy Grubb (Tony) of Hudson, Florida.; and her friends, Deloris Coker, Helen Lyles and Manul Musa.
In lieu of flowers, Jayne requested that memorials be made to any charity of choice.
