It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Rackley Peedin of High Point, North Carolina, born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Rackley and Maggie Sykes Rackley; her son Edward Vance Peedin, Jr.; her grandson Ryan Andrew Barnett; and her siblings, Bill Rackley (Peggie) and Ellen Little (Ray).
She is survived by: her husband Edward Vance Peedin; her daughters, Betsy Trexler (Eddie) of Jamestown and Angie Barnett (Randy) of Salisbury; her siblings, James Rackley (Rose) of Smithfield, Robert Rackley (Vicky) of Goldsboro, Ann Aycock (Jesse) of Raleigh and Cathy Batten (Roy) of Goldsboro; and her grandchildren, Amanda Sorrell (Brian), Jonathan Trexler (Ashton), Grant Trexler (Samantha), Andrew Barnett (Hallie), Victoria Bryant (Nate), Stephanie Robinson (Ryan), Van Peedin, III (Taylor) and Vicky Swann (Robert). She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
