She is survived by: her parents, Milton Durand Burris and Linda Lee Hembree Burris of High Point; her husband Chester Wooten; her children, Christopher Wooten of High Point and Morgan Wooten of Greensboro; her stepmother Maddy Burris of Old Fort; and her pet Sammy.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Humane Society of Guilford County.
