He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Hunter and Anna Eloise Sherrill Stinson; and his wife Louella Dabbs Kidd. He is survived by: his daughters, Rev. Amelia Stinson-Wesley (Tom) of Pineville and Anna Stinson (Mike Porter) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his sister Kathy Stinson Talbert of Cary; and his grandchildren, Kyra Stinson-Wesley, Evan Stinson-Wesley, Matt Porter, Tyler Porter (Sydney), Bryan Porter and Sam Porter.
