He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Sims; his parents, Janie Sims Nash and Abraham Dixon Sims; and his brother Terry Sims. He is survived by: his children, Dale Sims (Patrice), Laurie McWhirter (Tony) and Kenneth Sims (Susan Burrell); his sisters, Dixie Follette and Vicki Combs; his grandchildren, Christina Blank (Kosta), Paris Sims Carden (Simone), Briana McWhirter, Ethan (Lauren) and Jarrad Sims; and his great grandchildren, Alexander and Leonardo Blank.
