He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Cartrette and Elverta Sellers Cartrette; his wife Carol Carteret; his daughter Wendy Carteret; his granddaughter Elizabeth VanTassel; and his siblings, Gail Whitt and Ronnie Cartrette.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Hall (David) and Toni Newsome (Cale); his grandchildren, Anthony Rivera (Ashley), Gavin Johnson (Ashley), Aidan Johnson (Julie), Patrick Johnson, Reilly Johnson, Megan VanTassel, Tamzyn Hall and Killian Hall; and his siblings, Donnie Cartrette (Nancy), Beth Tysinger (Don), Susan Thompson, Kay Cruickshank (Doug) and Rhonda Brandtley (Steven). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
