She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas and Martha Reams Thomas; her husband Raymond Spann Sr.; her children, Robert Spann, Raymond Spann and Delma Thomas; her granddaughter Latonya Tanyell Spann; her siblings, Earlene Wilson, Vicie Mack, James Thomas Jr., Robert Thomas, Levi Thomas, Hammy Thomas, Roland Thomas and Everett Thomas; and her sisters-in-law, Eunice Anderson and Cleo Spann.
She is survived by: her children, Essie Brown (Henry) of Thomasville, NC, Barbara "Mamie" Ann Thomas of Thomasville, NC, Ernestine Thomas (Jerome) of Thomasville, NC, Sandra Rich (Mike) of Thomasville, NC, Gloria Chadmon (Rodney) of High Point, NC and Thomas Spann of High Point, NC; her siblings, Janie Mae Thomas of Columbia, SC, Lillie Mae Thomas of Suitland, MD, Barbara Randall of Baltimore, MD, Linda Thomas of New York and Lovingly; and her niece Julia. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; host of great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Living Water Baptist Church (1300 Brentwood St, High Point, NC 27260). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
