He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Sylvester and Elizabeth Johnson Spencer; and his siblings, Reginald Spencer, Vardry Spencer, Rose Gillespie and Beverly Byers.
He is survived by: his wife Gwenda Nealy Spencer; his sister Inez Currie (George) of High Point; his children, Barry Moore (Chelsea) of High Point, NC, Tina Wilson of High Point, NC, Maria Spencer Karim, Cleopatra Spencer of Jacksonville, FL, Sharron Graham of Bennettsville, SC, Kenneth W. Spencer Jr. of High Point, NC and Darius Keith, Sr. (Sonya) of Burgaw; his stepsons, Larry Blount of Greensboro, NC and Specialist Alvarez Nealy of Charlotte, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Senior Chief Larry Nealy (Beverly) of Charleston, SC, Matthew Nealy of Greensboro, NC, Specialist Ricky Nealy of Greensboro, NC, Lee Morris Nealy of Lyons, NY, Sheila Morris, Margaret McNair of Fayetteville, NC and Brenda Powell (Andrew) of Newburgh, NY. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; ten step grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
