He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene "Gene" Hamlin and Glady Draughn Hamlin; and his brother Samuel Carlise Hamlin. He is survived by: his wife Christine Kearns Hamlin; his daughters, Cathy Moses (Ron) and Cindy Vinson (David); his sisters, Arlene Allman and Hazel Wilmoth; and his friend Marvin Hiatt. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service (1015 Eastchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262). Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Life Tribute Center of Cumby Family Funeral Service (1015 Eastchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262). A committal service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Floral Garden Park Mausoleum Chapel (1730 W English Rd, High Point, NC 27262).
