With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavesta Carlos Washington (High Point, North Carolina), who passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bannie of Washington, Earl Jeffries, Beatrice Caldwell and David Caldwell; his aunt Carolyn McKiver; his uncle Jonathan "Gene" of Washington; and his stepbrother Derrick.

He is survived by: his parents, Zelda Caldwell of Washington and Michael Caldwell; his children, Nevaeh Parks and Jathan of Washington; his siblings, Carciya of Washington and Shareka Gilmore (Terrell) of High Point, NC; and his stepsiblings, Sabrina, Marcus and Robert. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, four nieces, five nephews; one great-nephew, other relatives and friends.

I worked at a gas station Carlos would come into, him and I grew very close over time and he taught me so much about life and opened my eyes in ways I couldn’t even begin to put into words. I loved him like a brother and would’ve done anything for him, he was so humble and just such a special guy that nobody can replace. I send my upmost condolences out to everyone, I’m very thankful for the memories I got w/h.”
