He was predeceased by: his parents, Suzanne Towles Blackman and Louie Alton Blackman, Jr.; and his niece Kelley Katzenmeyer. He is survived by: his sons, Matt Blackman (Kendall) and Sam Blackman (Erin); the mother of his children Susan Hedgecock; his grandchildren, Weston, Emilia, James, Shepherd and Thomas; his sister Paige Blackman (David Katzenmeyer); and his nieces, Kacey and Krista.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont in recognition of their compassionate care and continued support of those in need.
