We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Lucille Welborn (High Point, North Carolina), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Madaris and Mabel Blake Madaris; her husband Arthur Laurin Welborn; her son Reverend Stephen Welborn; and her siblings, Edith Davis, Lola Schropshire, Ed Madaris and Henry Madaris.

She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Kranish (Michael) of Silver Spring, MD and Kenneth Welborn of High Point; her daughter-in-law Kathy Welborn of Archdale; her grandchildren, Jessica Kranish, Laura Kranish and Paul Welborn; and her great grandchild Joseph Welborn.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials in Lucille's memory may be directed to Faith Baptist Church, 5744 Mendenhall Road, Archdale, NC 27263.

“Lucille was a very dear person to me. I attended church with her most of my life. At Faith Baptist Church , she was my Sunday School teacher for many years. How lucky I was to be able to hear her lessons each Sunday. She knew her Bible and taught right from the heart. To her family, I would like to say, what a wonderful Christian person you had for a Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. I loved this woman and I know without a shadow of a doubt that she is in Heaven with Laurin & Steve.”
