He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Chalco and María Purificación Fernández; and his son Galo Chalco (Beatriz Larco). He is survived by: his wife Carmen Caiza; his children, Luis Jr. Chalco (Patricia Toapanta), Antonio Chalco (Paola Villota), Leonardo Chalco (Karina Moreano) and Viviana Dinan (Chris Dinan); his siblings, Leonardo Chalco, Susana and Luzmila Chalco; his grandchildren, Aedan, Eleanor Dinan, Esteban, Alejandra, Maria and Amelia; and his nephews, Marcelo, Alex and L. Antonio.
