She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Alston and Henrietta Alston; and her husband George K. Copeland. She is survived by: her daughters, Venetia Copeland Gibson of High Point, NC and Lilith "Michelle" Copeland of High Point, NC; her grandchildren, Jeremy Foust, Shambrea Gibson, Ricky Gibson Jr. (Princess) and Jawarri Copeland (Beyonka); her siblings, Frank Alston (Lilly), Thomas James Alston Jr., Lenny P. Alston, Jeannette Vanderhall and Tracey Y. Alston; and her great grandchildren, Bryla Margeaux Pratt and Ricky Uriah Gibson.
