She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Oswalt and Mildred Oswalt (Wachs) of Registrar's Office. She is survived by: her children, Philip (Cindy) of Oak Island, Stephen (Michelle) of Jamestown, Miriam Van Pelt (Fred) and Ruth Caul (Chris) of Goochland; her grandchildren, Bradley (Natalie), Ben Van Pelt (Kim), Whitney Johnson, William Johnson (Jade), Stephanie Hilliard (Ronnie) and Summit Caul; and her brother Dr. John Oswalt (Karen) of Nicholasville, KY. She is also survived by five nephews and six nieces.
Memorial contributions can be sent to Hayworth Wesleyan Church and designated for Hayworth Christian School in recognition of Marvel's heart for Christian education.
